Rockies Flavoured Lick (Various Flavours) - 2Kg
Description

A flavoured Health Lick - All Rockies 2kg Flavoured Health Licks contain:

Sodium and Chloride are needed for body fluid regulation. Chronic shortage can lead to decreased eating and drinking, and therefore dehydration.

Calcium and Phosphorus are critical for healthy bones and teeth. Deficiencies can cause brittle bones (and rickets) and can lead to fractures and lameness. Phosphorus deficient animals may develop abnormal eating habits.

Iron is for strength. It is a primary component of blood haemoglobin. Deficiency leads to anaemia and weak, listless horses.

Cobalt is required for vitamin B12 synthesis. Vitamin B12 deficient horses show poor health and performance and rarely anaemia.

Copper is needed for connective tissue and iron utilisation. Deficiency can lead to bone and joint problems as well as anaemia. A symptom can be a dull, discoloured coat.

Iodine is a component of the thyroid hormones that regulate metabolism and growth. Iodine insufficiency can be a particular problem in breeding mares.

Manganese is needed for cartilage development as well as for proper utilisation of other trace elements. Cartilage damage and bone deformities can occur particularly in growing stock.

Selenium deficiency can lead to gait abnormalities and stumbling. White muscle deficiency is a potential problem in foals while mares can be poorer breeders. Selenium is a key component of the anti-oxidant enzyme system.

Zinc is very important for healthy skin, bone, hoof and connective tissue and for breeding mares. Poor, brittle or crumbly hoof quality and dry flaking skin conditions can be deficiency symptoms. Reduced appetite may also occur. 2Kg
