| Intended as a dietary supplement containing Tryptophan, vitamins, and electrolytes for horses. Feed one tablet (4 gm) per 400 lbs. body weight per day.
L-Tryptophan is an amino acid for use on horses prior to events to make them less nervous or excited. Tryptophan has a calming effect, without effecting performance. L-Tryptophan is the amino acid that creates the neurotransmitter, serotonin. When there is a deficiency of L-Tryptophan in the horse's diet, serotonin becomes deficient as well.
This means that serotonin is unable to perform its function as a counterbalance to the hormones noradrenalin and dopamine. This can lead to anxiety, over-arousal, fear, anger, tension.
