The tongue is gently stimulated to utilise its highly sensitive sense of touch in an incomparable way. The horse gets relaxed and stays focused on the tongue preventing it from being easily distracted and so more responsive to the rein aids of the rider. The end result is complete harmony.

The material is food-safe, solvent-free and does not contain any plasticisers. The mouthpiece is reinforced with a steel cable to make it stable and to provide more security. Different from pure metal bits there is the danger of the plastic being easily bitten through when the bit is not attached correctly and gets in contact with the teeth. No returns or exchanges are possible if there are chew marks on the mouthpiece.

The Herm Sprenger Duo D-ring Mullen Mouth Snaffle bit is an ideal option for horses who are not comfortable in traditional bits. Made of food-safe, solvent free, soft and flexible plastic reinforced with an inner steel cable, the Duo bit follows the shape of the horse's mouth better than traditional metal bits and is better accepted by many. The Duo has a different shape top and bottom and can be used right-side up or upside down to produce a different feeling in the horse's mouth. One side is a straight-edged flexible bar. The other side has an indentation to leave space for the horse's tongue.
